Was als Idee zu einem kleinen Festival für elektronische Musik begann, entwickelte sich zu einem der Highlights des Festivalsommers 2003 in Österreich: das temp~electronic music festival, das an 2 Tagen an die 50 Live-Acts, Djs und Vjs präsentierte, fand nicht nur bei Publikum und Presse grossen Anklang, sondern erschuf ganz nebenbei auch ein eigenes, umfangreiches Netzwerk aus Künstlern, die seither in regem Kontakt zueinander stehen.

Die Musik, die Stimmung und der Geist des temp~festivals sollen nun in Form von Ergebnissen neu entstandener Kollaborationen sowie vom Festival beeinflusster Produktionen, aber natürlich auch von innovativer, vor allem österreichischer, Musik generell, als Tonträger verbreitet werden, um auch auf der Label-Ebene ein Pendant zur Live-Plattform des Festivals zu schaffen.

Deshalb wurde im September 2003 das Label temp~records gegründet. temp~records hat es sich zur Aufgabe gesetzt die althergebrachten Verhältnisse zwischen Künstler und Label zu verändern. temp~records, dessen Team allesamt selber Musikschaffende sind und sich selbst gerne als ein großes Netzwerk bezeichnet, bindet seine Künstler stark in alle Fragen der Produktion ein und lässt bei der Verwirklichung freie Hand ohne dabei auf Kontinuität und Qualität zu verzichten. Wie es bereits das temp~festival vorgeführt hat, so soll auch temp~records eine Plattform für die verschiedensten Spielarten elektronischer Musik sein.

Bereits jetzt, so kurz nach dem Start ist temp~records innerhalb der österreichischen Musik- und Medienlandschaft in aller Munde und das neue Label wird in zahlreichen Zeitschriften, Radioprogrammen und Online-Plattformen gefeatured. Mit ein Grund dafür ist sicherlich die beiden ersten Releases von temp~records, "my critical hertz" das Debutalbum von 550 rondy, einem Album voll melancholischer Ironie, produziert von 550 rondy und Patrick Pulsinger und "a place for crazy people", die debut-ep von Irradiation, eine spannende Mischung aus minimal-house, breaks und electro.

Patricia Enigl
Initiatorin und Herz des im Sommer 2003 ins leben gerufenen temp~festivals. Als irradiation produziert sie selbst Musik, die sich irgendwo zwischen Minimal-House, Clicks`n Cuts und Dub ansiedelt. Bei temp~records kümmert sie sich gemeinsam mit Barbara Schlachter-Delgado um Presse und Promotion und ist gemeinsam mit Miriel Zeiner für die Graphik zuständig.

Georg Titz
Co-Organisator und Kopf des temp~festivals. War von Anfang an dabei, als die Idee für temp~ geboren wurde. Georg liebt es schräg und dementsprechend klingt auch die Musik, die er als imperomon macht. Bei temp~records kümmert er sich um alles rund ums finanzielle und ist durch nichts aus der Ruhe zu bringen...

Barbara Schlachter-Delgado
Arbeitet seit Jahren in der Radiobranche und hat gemeinsam mit Patricia und Georg in langen Nächten das Baby temp~records auf die Welt gebracht. Unter dem Pseudonym cosmanova bastelt sie eigene Tracks, die, wenn sie selber singt, oft spanisch daherkommen. Bei temp~records kümmert sie sich gemeinsam mit Patricia Enigl um Presse und Promotion.

Markus Reindl
Ist schon länger sowohl in die kreative als auch in die organisatorische Arbeit im backlab collective involviert und wurde aufgrund seiner Erfahrung auch ins temp~records Team eingebunden. Seinen Eigenproduktionen im Minimal-Funky House Bereich merkt man zweifelsohne seine jahrelange Tätigkeit als dj aka tell an, auch wenn er noisigen Sound-Experimenten nicht abgeneigt ist. Bei temp~records ist er schwerpunktmä&szelig;ig für Event-Organisation und Artist-Bookings zuständig.

the label

It started when Patricia Enigl was planning her birthday celebration. She wanted to invite a couple of friends, who like herself were producers and musicians, to perform at her party. This idea grew and grew and what began as an idea for a small festival for electronic music became one of the highlights of austria's festival summer 2003: the temp~ electronic music festival, which presented on two days about 50 live-acts, djs and vjs. The festival not just went down well with audience and press but also led to the formation of a large network of artists, who have been cultivating close contact with each other ever since.

The music, the mood and the spirit of the temp~ festival will now be preserved on sound carriers and led to the founding of a label, that serves as a counterpart to the live platform of the festival. temp~records was founded in September 2003. It will show the results of various cooperations , feature music that was influenced by the festival and promote innovative, primarily Austrian productions.

temp~records wants to turn over the traditional relations that are predominant between artists and label. temp~ tries to heavily incorporate artists into questions concerning production and grants enormous liberties in realizing individual ideas without neglecting continuity and quality. The temp~festival already successfully mixed different styles of electronic music and temp~records now also aims to be a central platform for a broad variety of electronic music.

Now, only a few weeks after the founding of temp~records, everybody in Austria's music and media scene is talking about it. Feature stories are published in various magazines and many productions are aired on radio programs and discussed on online platforms. One reason for this immediate triumph unquestionably are the two first releases on temp~records of 550rondy's "my critical hertz", their debut album, which was produced by 550rondy and Patrick Pulsinger and "a place for crazy people", the debut-ep from Irradiation, an exciting mixture of minimal-house, breaks and electro.

Patricia Enigl
Initiator and heart of temp~ festival, which was founded in summer 2003. As Irradiation she produces her own music, which is settled somewhere between minimal house, clicks 'n cuts and dub. At temp~records she is, together with Barbara Schlachter-Delgado, responsible for press and promotion and in cooperation with Miriel Zeiner for grafics.

Georg Titz
Co-organizer and head of the temp~festival. He is a part of temp~ from the moment the idea of temp~ was born. Georg has an affection for strange stuff and this fondness is also reflected in his own music, which he produces as Imperomon. At temp~records he takes care of the finances and he is unflappable.

Barbara Schlachter-Delgado
She has been working in the radio industry for years and founded in long sleepless nights, temp~records together with Patrica and Georg. Under her pseudonym Cosmanova she produces her own tracks, which, if she sings herself, sometimes have a Spanish touch. At temp~records she is, together with Patricia Enigl, responsible for press an promotion.

Markus Reindl
For a long time he has been involved in the creative and organisational work at the backlab collective and was invited to work in the temp~records team mostly because of his experience. His own minimal-funky house productions undoubtedly reflect his years of experience as dj aka tell, altthough he has an affection for sound experiments. His main areas at temp~ records lie in event organisation and artist booking.
